Is it time to burn the ships?

Hello… and welcome to the new home of my blog.

Around four years ago I started writing a blog on MySpace. It was fine and dandy… but it had problems. One of the biggest was that in order to comment on my blog, you had to be a member of MySpace… and frankly, I can understand why people wouldn’t want to do that. So I blatantly ripped off an idea my friend had and moved to here.

Now why did it take so long for me to make the change? Besides the obvious, my inherent laziness, there were several other factors at work. A stolen laptop with several blog posts and pictures for it I had worked on, upgrading several computers to Windows 7 (best move EVAR), and my fixation on beautiful ladies and Legos all helped in the delay. But after finding out I have no more excuses, I began to work on this project in earnest.

So what will be on this new blog? More of the same, with some new additions. Besides the usual postings of my skewed views of people and politics, bizarre dreams and my views on dreams, and ranting about how pathetic I am, I will be adding the random cel phone camera picture (which is SO popular on Facebook), the return of How to speak Chikenese, progress on Lego projects, and eventually the live Instant Zen webcam featuring Crow and Gypsy. I hope to achieve about a post a week, but that may change if I find myself doing what I used to do when I had a diary. (I would forget for weeks, then go back and put ‘Today I had fun.’ each day to look like I kept it up.) My main goal is to use this blog to continue honing my skill with the written word… and hopefully provoke thought and debate. So let’s all sit back, relax and see where this trip ends up taking us… it just might not be boring as hell.

And as always, feel free to tell me how much I suck- I need practice on my witty comebacks… (‘Yo mamma!’ doesn’t really work anymore…)
